Asian Hercules II
The “Asian Hercules II ” carried out an offshore installation operation off Jambi, Sumatera Indonesia. The contract was for PT Sempec Indonesia and PT Chiyoda Indonesia. Pertol China was the ultimate client. The offshore activity involves the installation of a Fix Production Unit (FPU) at 1200mt, 2 Interlink Bridges (BR1 & BR2), Flare Boom and a 45 mtr. Telecommunications Tower. The operation was executed as planned between the 2nd April till the 8th April 2005. Our challenges were strong tidal conditions and unpredictable thunderstorms with winds up to 45-knot winds.

Asian Helping Hand III
Between the 16th to the 20th April 05 the “Asian Helping Hand III” carried out lifting operations in Singapore Port and Batam Indonesia, Pandan Bahari Yard. This project involves the lifting and installation of a ship unloader onto a barge. It will be in two stages involving separate sheerlegs. The first stage was the discharging of the ship unloader from the carrier vessel onto a bare top barge in Singapore Port. Followed by the discharging of the ship unloader machinery house in Batam Pandan Bahari Yard. In addition to that the ship unloader’s colum was also lifted, upended and finall installed onto the ship unlaoder barge. The second stage is expected to take place sometime July in Batam. The “Asian Hercules” wiil be utilized for the installation of the ship unloader’s machinery house and the boom.

Smit Typhoon
The Smit Typohoon carried a lift in Kuantan Port Malaysia on the 23rd April 27, 2005 for Mitsui. The lift was a 190 mt pressure vessel bound for a local yard. It was lifted in the evening from the vessel “Ayzu” and landed onto heavy trailers for road transport to the final installation location.
